This delicious Bourbon Bacon Jam Crostini is an elegant and show stopping appetizer everyone will love!

For this recipe, you'll need, bacon, a baguette, an onion, garlic, brie, thyme, bourbon, maple syrup, sherry vinegar, brown sugar, smoked paprika, dijon mustard, and olive oil.

First, bake the bacon strips in the oven on a foil lined baking sheet until golden brown and crispy.

Next, combine bourbon, brown sugar, maple syrup, sherry vinegar, smoked paprika, dijon and water in a bowl and set aside.

Next, sauté diced onions with olive oil until soft and translucent. Then add the minced garlic and stir until fragrant (about 30 seconds).

Add the bourbon brown sugar mixture to the sautéed onions and garlic and continue to simmer on low.

Continue to simmer for about 30 minutes until the bourbon brown sugar glaze thickens to a syrup like consistency.

Chop the crispy oven baked bacon strips into small pieces and add to the bourbon glaze.

Continue to stir on low heat for a few minutes until the bacon is coated in the bourbon brown sugar glaze. Remove from the heat and refrigerate.

To serve, toast some crostini slices until golden brown, top with creamy brie cheese and bourbon bacon jam.
